I'm backkk

Whoa, so sorry I've been M.I.A. I haven't posted in about two weeks. I'm sort of bummed cause in these past weeks I've worn outfits I really did like but I just haven't had the time to take pictures. I have a big Halloween weekend ahead of me, so expect an overload of pictures.

Jacket: Gap, Top: TJ Maxx, Dress: Vintage, Belt: Calvin Klein, Shoes: Nine West

Yesterday was the most perfect recipe for a beautiful day. It was about 3 cups of sunshine, 4 cups of warm air, 2 cups of wonderfully cool gusts of wind, and a few dashes of happiness. I could have stayed outside all day, and I tried to, but class sort of put a damper on that.
Allison and I decided to go to the field by our house for photos. I was hoping the trees would still have some vibrant colored leaves on them, but no such luck. However, I am sort of loving the juxtaposition of the sunshine with the dead foliage...how about you?

Homecoming

With FAMD (the fashion major club) we had homecoming at the Laurels, which is a retirement home. It was such a nice time spending the night with them. They had even voted for their homecoming queen and king. The queen was such a doll and full of life. She told us all to make sure we'd be back in a couple months for her 102nd birthday! I hope I'm as fun at 102.

This dress was my mom's when she was younger and I think it's stunning. I love the drape of it. I had never had an opportunity to wear it yet, so when I was picking out my outfit I was so happy when I saw this hanging in my closet.

Dress: Vintage, Shoes: Kelly & Katie, Bracelets: Kohl's

And here's the happy homecoming queen and king!

Rain Rain Go Away

Yesterday afternoon it was real cold and windy, and then it began to rain which made it even further colder. It was definitely not pleasant here in Mount Pleasant yesterday, to say the least. Therefore, Allison and I opted for indoor pictures.

Top: H&M, Pants: H&M, Tank: Plato's Closet, Belt: Vintage, Scarf: Vintage, Moccasins: Minnetonka

Brrr, it's cold out here

It's already getting so cold outside. I have a feeling there's going to be snow by Halloween. I'm going to have to think of some super warm costumes. When it's cold outside it doesn't really affect my legs as much as my upper body, so I layered this wool sweater and jacket over my dress.

Jacket: Gap, Sweater: Vintage, Dress: Express, Boots: Alloy

School Day

Blazer: TJ Maxx, Dress: TJ Maxx, Boots: Diba

After a long day of classes, Allison and I took outfit pictures in this hallway of the building all our fashion classes are in. Isn't it such an awesome hallway, I love the color scheme.

It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

Some of my housemates, my boyfriend and I all made our way over to the pumpkin patch last weekend. There was quite a bitter bite in the air, but the donuts and hot cider made it worth it. And as a bonus there was an elementary field trip there and the little kids were so adorable and quite entertaining watching them run around the pumpkin patch in total bliss.

I was wearing: Jacket: Kohl's, Scarf: Vintage, Jeans: Levi's, Boots: Alloy

Dotty

Jacket: Levi's, Top: Isaac Mizrahi for Target, Jeans: TJ Maxx, Boots: DSW

Last weekend when I went home I bought these jeans which I love. I like the way they are polka dotted, but they aren't super loud. They're my only jeans with any kind of pattern.

Lazy & Crazy

I've been crazy sleepy lately. It's to the point where I feel to tired to even want to take pictures. My eyes don't like staying open so I tend to blink it a lot of them. Anyway, here's my outfit from yesterday.

When I'm tired, there is only so much photo taking I can handle before I start losing my mind...then I end up with gems like these...

So flattering.

Yesterday I was wearing: Sweater: Kohl's, Top: H&M, Belt: H&M Jeans: Levi's, Shoes: Sperry's
