Today I went home for the weekend and I'm super excited to spend some time with my family. Here's a few snapshots of what I wore today for class.

Twirl & Whirl

Today I wore one of my favorite dresses I own. It used to be my mom's a long time ago but I found it one day when looking through some old clothes and have loved it since. I love the flow from all the fabric used, it's perfect for spinning in. Sometimes it's hard not to trip on it, especially when walking up stairs, but I love the train created when walking down stairs, so it all evens out in the end.

Biker Chick

Whenever I wear leather (okay pleather) I feel like I'm a biker chick, like I should be riding a hog all day or something. Well the only bike I was on today was my plain old bicycle, but I still felt the wind in my hair, so I guess that makes me a biker chick, right?

Blustery Day

The wind was sure whipping yesterday. It made me think of the movie Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day. That was such a good movie, I loved watching it when I was younger. 

Black & White

Yesterday the FAMD group had a black and white potluck so my friend Allison and I put on our nifty, majority black threads and went, but not without snapping a few shots before.

Afternoon Delight

Today I had some spare time for a photo shoot in a park near our house. I loved the way the sun was shining on the river. It was nice to have a beautiful backdrop for pictures today, and running around the park and playscape while enjoying fall wasn't too shabby for a way to end the school week.

I love this dress, it kept me warm and cozy all day. I wore it for class, biking around, homework time at the library, and nap time without wrinkling...such a bonus.

Unpunctual Tuesday

Here is the outfit I wore yesterday. Tuesday's are my long days and I wasn't up to posting last night. Thus, I'm posting my Tuesday outfit on a Wednesday...I hope you're not too disappointed :)

High-Waisted Charm

A few years ago I found a pair of high-waisted, wide legged trousers and they were wonderful. They had such an old hollywood charm about them and I made the mistake of not buying that perfect pair. From then on I was on the lookout for pants that were high-waisted and wide legged. Then I came across these at Anthropologie and I was beyond thrilled. They are so comfortable and I think the way they lace up in the back is adorable (slightly visible in the last picture).

Yesterday my day consisted of a long date with the library. I didn't get back until later, thus I have not the most ideal conditions for outfit pics. I'll do my best to improve this...I pinky promise.

I love the fall weather of today. It was pleasant enough to want to stay outside all day, with occasional gusts of a cool breeze to make me long for a cup of hot cider in my hands. The only thing today was missing was some vibrant colored leaves on the trees and the ground.

Today we had our meet-and-greet for FAMD (fashion association of merchandisers and designers). I wanted to dress up slightly, so I wore these breezy dress from H&M. I put on

This week has still left me in some sort of haze. Between nap time, class time, and homework time we didn't get outfit pictures until later, which left us to take pictures in the house, resulting in not the best quality photos, so sorry about that. Today I wanted to dress very girly. I found this skirt a few summers ago in a box of my mom's old clothes, and I love how flowy it is.

Sleepy Sleepy

I've been so exhausted lately, all the naps in the world can't save me...trust me I've tried. Yesterday I was super exhausted and busy all day, which is why I look like I'm about to fall asleep in all these pictures, who knows I may already be asleep in the second picture. Anyway it was really nice to come home, whip off my heels, get into my jammies and fall soundly asleep. I love these shoes, but biking around and going to classes all day in these babies can really wear a girl out.

Weekend Recap

This weekend was an exciting weekend for me and my housemates. The big CMU vs. MSU football game was this weekend. We also decided to get all dressed up and went to the club to dance the night away. It was nice just setting aside time to hang out with each other without having to worry about any homework.

Busy Bee

Oops, I just started blogging and already fell behind. I have been trying to catch up on homework and z's and am just now getting a chance to post. I am going to try my best to not get behind again, I pinky promise.
This is my outfit from friday. I was doing homework for the majority of the day (hence the lack of shoes) and wanted to be cozy as I checked a few assignments off my to-do list before a weekend of festivities.
